Alpha & Number Books

Our grandson , Eli , recently celebrated his third birthday. As part of his gift I made him an alphabet book and a number book.  I love the way they turned out. The covers of the books are made of cardstock covered on both sides with clear contact paper to make them easy to wipe off if they get dirty. The alphabet book has a page for each letter of the alphabet. Some of the inside embellishments were cut with my Cricut and some are stickers. The inside pages of the number book each have a heavy chipboard number on them, covered with cardstock and inked around the edges. Both books were bound with my Cinch. It's so much fun to make things that I know my grandchildren will enjoy !

Plastic Wrap & Napkin Card

I made this card for one of our grand daughter's birthday. The cupcake background paper is actually a paper napkin ironed onto cardstock with a sheet of plastic wrap between them. As the plastic wrap melts it adheres the napkin and cardstock to each other. Fun and easy to do. On top of that I used a simple paper doily with a sticker on top of that. I think it's pretty and just right for a sweet little girl.

Baby Blanket and Hats

My step dauaghter, Jodi, recently gave birth to her second little girl. Jodi wanted a bright pink blanket for the baby so I chose the brightest pink yarn I could find. The blanket is a large granny square. I also made (not pictured) a light green single crochet blanket. The cute little hats were made so quickly and easily with my Nifty Knitter. That tool is so much fun to use !

Busy Butterfly Card

This card is "busier" than my usual taste but I think it's bright and cheerful looking. The butterfly in the center is a POSH sticker that I have had for years and the background paper is from a single sheet that I just thought was pretty when I was shoping in Michaels one day.

Inspire....Imagine...Discover  ...that's what the center of this card says. I wish it showed up better in the picture. Even though the photo isn't the best I included this card in my blog because I absolutely love the paper I used for the background . The colors and the pattern just really caught my eye. This was a fun card to make !

I made this as a gift for my daughter, Carrie, and her family. She and Joey are newlyweds, married in December of 2011. I included their names and the names of their four sons (combined) under the title "Family" since that is what they became on their wedding day. The frame came from Walmart and the lettering was all cut with my Cricut.

Glittery Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I made for one of our grand daughters. All of the layers are made from glitter paper. I used my Cricut to make the center flower, a tiny cloth flower with a pearl center  for the middle of that flower,  and a Martha Stewart punch for the candy ribbon affect at the bottom of the top layer.
